Right, so this is my part time job. I work at an Italian restaurant and the name of it is Crust. It’s a part-time job. Uhm, what I do is, I’m an expo in the back and so I like make the food … nice and then deliver it to the tables. I’m a waitress in training so I haven’t – I just turned 18, so you have to be 18 to … usually serve alcohol and things like that, so, but I’m in training for that. Ehm … some of the other places my friends work are like Hy-Vee, a grocery store, uhm, they’ll be like cashiers or they’ll stock … foods or they’ll work at like … uh, stores in the mall and sell clothes and things like that. Uh, most teenagers in America need jobs for like to pay for gas in their cars and, uhm, activities … uhm ... like … buying clothes, uhm, school activities, to get into events like dances and … sports and theatre events, as well.

I work usually weekends … uhm, Fridays and Saturdays, the days are busier with the restaurant business. Uhm … I average about 30 tips a night and then I’ll make like 4.50 hourly because we do get tips. Uhm, but I know when I worked at Hy-Vee – this is not my first job – I got like 7.25 an hour, so I actually think I do make more here with the adding of the tips.

I started this job around 7 months ago and I love it here. Everyone’s so friendly to work with and I love my co-workers. So … it’s a great place to work and I’m really happy that I’m in this bus-, the restaurant business, and learning all the ts- … waiting and waitress tips and everything so … it’s a nice place to work.
