Alex is going to talk about American food. Which of these words do you think he will use?

So, normal American food … uhm … greasy, s- … the more greasy, the better it is. Uh ... uh … deep fried, anything deep fried … Oreos, pickles … uh … You name it, we deep fry it! But … uh … one of America’s … like best foods you get is a burger, cheeseburger. Everything y’ can think of – piled on top of it. Uhm … and it just depends like … Burger, the better burger’s usually from the home-, like the family restaurants, the ones that have been in town for quite a while. Uh, your chain restaurants like McDonalds and stuff like that th-, they’re OK, but if you want a real burger, you’re gonna go to a family restaurant and stuff like that.

But, like favourite meals … uh … a lot of people like … uh f-, … just about anything. I mean, d-, we have the Chinese food, we have Italian food, we have all different sorts of food, but … no one really likes the American … Everyone, everyone wants to feel like they’re eating something exot-, exotic or eating … nice food. So … it just, it depends what type of person you are, but me personally I enjoy like lasagne and stuff like that, pasta … Noodles are my main thing.

So … I mean, it really just depends what you like and what part of the country you’re in. Cause if you go down the south, they’re more of the barbeque type of … thing. They’ll put barbeque sauce on anything, or grill anything, I mean. Where up north, they like theirs kind of ready-to-go, fast-paced meals, and it doesn’t necessarily have to be good, it just has to be food. But if you go out west they like to juice everything and put it in a blender and just kind of eat ‘n – or eat or drink their food as they’re going. So -, but here in the Midwest we kind of take our time and make sure our food’s good and delicious before we just devour it, before it’s even done!
