I’m Nadia Waid. I have a little sister named Mia, she’s in 7^th grade. She loves theatre. She was Toto last year in the Wid-, Wizard of Oz, which she just loved, actually. And I have a mom, named Noriko, she’s Japanese. She’s a health nut and a little crazy. And I have a dad, who’s Caucasian and somewhat Native American. He kind of explained it to me, didn’t really understand it.

And I have two dogs, one named Spot. He’s very, very dumb, but … [laughter] it’s OK. And then, I have another dog named Candy and she’s … getting kind of old now, since she has al-, arthritis and all of that. And … most of my family on my dad’s side lives in Cedar Rapids, so … we get to see ‘em, them more often than my relatives in Japan, but we still don’t get to see them often. My relatives in Japan, I only get to talk to on like the phone once a year and … if that … and … see every few years. My mom isn’t really close with them. But her, like – I talk to my grandma a lot there, which I call her “Baba” … ‘cause … that’s what my mom told me to do.
