The Eden Project

Would you like to visit a rainforest without travelling all the way to South America? All you have to do is to cross the North Sea and go to Cornwall in South West England. There you will find a rainforest – indoors!

The Eden Project is a place where you can experience nature inside huge bubbles called biomes. They are made of steel and a special, thin material that lets sunlight through. The material is much lighter than glass and insulates much better. The biomes are full of giant plants and trees, and even a waterfall. In fact, they are so big that the Tower of London could easily fit inside them.

The Eden Project is one of the UK’s most popular tourist attractions, and has even been called the eighth wonder of the world.

Your turn to write

The Eden Project would like feedback from visitors. Imagine you have just spent the day there. What did you do? What did you like best? Write a paragraph about your visit.
